Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Before membership opens. This disclaimer applies to everything we publish, now and when membership opens. It is awaiting review by a UK solicitor and may be updated before membership opens.
In short
We collate publicly available research and news and pass it on. It is information only, not medical advice, and not a substitute for your own doctor. We do not endorse or recommend anything, and no doctor–patient or advisory relationship is created. Any decision is yours alone: consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing any treatment.
1. What we provide
Publicly available research and news about the conditions you tell us about, collated from trusted sources around the world, such as peer-reviewed journals, trial registries and regulators. We report what each source says, with a link to it.
2. What we do not provide
- Medical advice, diagnosis or treatment
- Recommendations or endorsements of any treatment, medicine, supplement, device, clinical trial, clinic or practitioner
- Any assessment of whether something is suitable or safe for you
- A doctor–patient, advisory or other clinical relationship
- An emergency or urgent service
3. Your decision, with your own doctor
Research may be early, may not apply to you and may later be contradicted. Reporting a study, approval or trial does not mean we endorse it or suggest you act on it. Whether to act on anything is entirely your own decision, made with your own doctor. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing any treatment, and do not delay seeking medical advice because of anything we publish.
4. No reliance
To the extent the law allows, our updates must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional, and we are not responsible for decisions you make about your health or care. See section 3 of our Terms of Service.
5. Emergencies
Dial 999 (or 112). For urgent help that is not an emergency, contact NHS 111.
6. Accuracy
We take care, but summaries can contain errors or omissions and research changes quickly. Every item links to its original source, which is the authoritative version.
7. Clinical trials watchlist
A trial listing is information only. It does not mean you are eligible, that the trial is suitable or safe for you, or that we recommend taking part. The trial team decides who can join.
8. Your legal rights
This disclaimer does not take away any legal rights that cannot be excluded or limited by law. See our Terms of Service.
