Updates are sent when relevant new research is available, up to your weekly limit. For most conditions new research is usually published every week; rarer conditions may see fewer.

"Up to" is a maximum, not a guarantee. We send an update only when relevant new research is available. For most conditions that is usually every week; rarer conditions may see fewer. See our Subscription terms. The trials watchlist is information only, never a recommendation to take part.

How the membership works

Who can join: UK residents only, with a UK billing address
Price: charged in pounds sterling (GBP), monthly in advance, from the day you join. If you pay with a card in another currency, your card provider converts it and may charge a fee
Minimum term: 3 months. After that it renews monthly until you cancel
Cancelling: after your first 3 months, cancel online from your account in a few clicks. Your membership ends at the end of the month you have paid for, with no further charges
Reminders: we email you a renewal reminder at least once every 6 months, and give at least 30 days' notice of any price change
Switching: move between Essential and Recommended from your account. Changes apply from your next billing date
